GW Swimming Earns Academic All-America Standing

PHOENIX, AZ -- The George Washington University men's and women's swimming teams earned Academic All-America honors from the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the association announced on July 10.

GW head coach Dan Rhinehart's women earned a combined 3.49 GPA to rank tied for 11th in the 109-team standings. The Colonials also posted the highest team GPA among Atlantic 10 Conference teams. The GW men's team GPA of 3.00 ranked 49th of the 80 men's teams recognized.

The Colonials open the 2006-07 season at the Potomac Relays held at American University on October 13.
