PRINCETON, NJ -- GW senior Conor McMahon shot an even-par 213 to tie for fourth place, just two strokes off the pace, in the Princeton Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the par-71, 6,390-yard Springdale Golf Club. McMahon carded rounds of 70, 71 and 72 in the two-day event.

GW combined to shoot a 874 (293-288-293) to place fourth in the 15-team field, just one stroke behind George Mason and the host Tigers of Princeton.

St. John's University won the tournament with a three-round 869 to win the team title by four strokes. A pair of St. John's players tied for first. Keegan Bradley (70-66-75) and Evan Bierne (70-68-73) each carded 211s to share the individual title at 2-under, one shot ahead of Temple's Paul Amess (212).

The reigning A-10 Player of the Week, GW sophomore Cole Turner, was four strokes behind McMahon and six strokes off the pace with a 4-over 217 (71-73-73) to tie for 11th place out of 77 individuals.

GW was one of four Atlantic 10 Conference teams competing at Princeton. The Colonials finished ahead of St. Bonaventure (875), Temple (878) and Saint Joseph's (908).

Next up for the Colonials is the 36-hole Navy Spring Invitational, April 19-20, at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, MD.
